AGARTALA, Oct 12 (TIWN): CPI-M tribal wing Ganamukti Parishad has demanded overall development of Tribal Community by connecting it with total development and mainstream of the civilization.

It can not be denied a massive change came after India's partition and Tripura's joining with India under the constitution. It caused a demographic change in the state, but if the Govt at Centre and State had taken care of the tribal community's needs and other socio-economic, cultural issues, then this situation would not be so adverse like today".
"Since Left Govt came in power, the Govt attempted at fullest for the Socio-Economic-Cultural development of the tribal community. Kokborok language which is the language of 80% tribals came under recognition", Jiten Choudhury said.
"GMP always have been fought for 'Liberty, Equality, Fraternity' in State where there will be no difference among casts, no upper class, no lower class etc and the development should be equally expand with all", Choudhury said.
