AGARTALA, Oct 5 (TIWN): One thief has been arrested by West Agartala Police on Friday named Ashish Mia.

West PS OC-Subrata Chakraborty told media, on yesterday a complaint was registered by one Tinku Das who went in the court after withdrawing money (Rs. 1 lakh) from State Bank of India.

After Tinku das came out of the court, he found his desk was broken whereas the whole money had been vanished. Then he lodged a complaint in West Agartala police Station.

Based on the complaint, CCTV footage of the city were checked and police found him wearing a yellow helmet broke the desk and took the money. Then the bike number was recovered and owner was spotted.

However, police developed into the conclusion that the owner was not riding the bike but his brother in law Ashish Mia was the actual thief. Asish Mia seeing police tried to escape but police caught him.
