AGARTALA, Oct 2 (TIWN): Petrol prices in Agartala have been turning more volatile, as prices of crude oil have been showing a firm trend. It is important to check todays petrol price in Agartala Rs. 82.21.

Petrol and diesel prices are revised daily, so you can lose much, if you are travelling on a long distance.

The rupee has also moved lower against the dollar, which has made petrol prices in Agartala more expensive than before. Whereas it was hoped that the government can reduce excise duties, so as to enable rates to become more cheaper in the coming days, rather BJP led Govt has increased the taxes and cess.

On the other side, urging the Centre to reduce the cess on fuel prices, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday announced that her government will reduce the state tax on petrol and diesel by Re 1 per litre.But here in Tripura in last 6 months two times taxes were hiked, whereas increased tax is violating the petrol price more.

The Andhra Pradesh government had earlier reduced Value Added Tax (VAT) on petrol and diesel by Rs 2 per litre while Rajasthan slashed tax on fuel by four per cent. But in case of Tripura, the fuel price has been increased again and again.
