DADF conducts one-day long training programme

Agartala, Sept 22 (TIWN): With an endeavour to control the Bovine Brucellosis, a one-day long training programme was conducted by the sponshorship of Department of Animal Husbandary, Dairying and Fisharies (DADF) under Brucella Control Programme (BCP) at Pragna Bhavan, here today.
During the programme, welcome address was delivered by the Dy. Director of ARDD (DI)- Dr. Arup Kumar De while Director of ARDD- Dr. Dharmeswar Das delivered keynote address.
In the event, different concepts were presented to control this highly contagious and economically important bacterial disease of livestock world-wide by the dignitaries from various departments. Among them, Principal Scientist of NIVEDI, Bengaluru- Dr B R Shome screened his presentation on Bovine Brucellossis and National Scenario and Surveillance approaches for Brucellosis while Dr. Rajeswari Shome, Principal Scientist of NIEVDI, Bengaluru delivered address on Emerging trends of Human Brucellosis and Vaccination policy for Brucellosis under control programme.
The Vateniry Officer, State DI Laboratory- Dr. Jyotirmoy Roy briefed about the implementation of control strategies in tripura state while Dr. Anup Kumar De, Director of ARDD(DI) delivered his essential speech about present status, advanced diagnostic technique and strategies for control of FMD in Tripura.
