AGARTALA, Sep 29 (TIWN): CPI-M MLA Prabhat Chowdhury was attacked by BJP goons on Saturday at Sabroom.

The attack took place when Prabhat Chowdhury went to a relative Jaduranjan Chowdhury's home at Kalibari area in Sabroom.

When Chowdhury was in conversation with the people inside home, suddenly BJP activists attacked the house, asking for Prabhat Chowdhury to come out of the room. 

The women of the house and localities stopped the miscreants asking them to dare to kill them first before attacking Prabhat Chowdhury. 

Facing the blow from women of that area, the miscreants even though come out of the house but threw all food items, vandalized the kitchen. Also rough words the BJP activists were using while leaving. 

CPI-M has condemned the incident.
