AGARTALA, September 20 (TIWN): Tripura Rubber Worker Union (TRWN) and Tripura Rubber Production Samiti (TRPS) submitted a deputation regarding their 9 point charter demands to Chief Minister Manik Sarkar at Agartala town hall here this afternoon.
Speaking in the programme Chief Minister Manik Sarkar said that the rubber cultivation in Tripura is becoming very critical day by day. The use of synthetic rubber and import of rubber from other countries are becoming a threat to rubber cultivation in India.
CM further said that if the newly formed central government did not take any action regarding the issues related to rubber the problems will never end. This not only the problem of the state it is also a problem of our country, he added. He also urged the MPs of the state to raise the issues related to rubber in lok sabha and Rajyasabha.
BJP and Congress are two sides of the same coin. Both of them are just black marketers. The two parties are always with affluent businessmen and bureaucrats, but never work for the common people, he alleged. The unemployment issue has become a big problem in the entire country. Everywhere nowadays there is corruption, he added.
