AGARTALA, Sep 11 (TIWN): Pollution erupting from illegal rice mills in Ranir Bazar area has hit the locals.
Few rice mills in Ranir Bazar municipal council area, located in densely populated area are causing massive pollution across the locality. Locals have complained to Tripura State Pollution Control Board and Ranir Bazar municipal many times, but the issue left with zero action.
Locals said, "Before election the pollution control board never bothered to take any complain and now we are trying to get our result but any positive response from the board yet to come". Even after assurances received by Pollution Control Board, no visit was paid in that locality.
Interestingly, locals also alleged that the industry doesn't have any license or govt permission. The local people of Ranir Bazar sought fast action against increasing pollution from the illegal factory.
