AGARTALA, Sep 9 (TIWN): Schedule Cast (SC) population in Tripura came in a protest with various demands on Monday. They led a convention in Tulsibati Girls HS School.

While agitating they raised various demands as : 

1) Two representatives in the cabinet from SC community,

2) To fill up the vacancies under Govt Depts which are reserved for SC/ST, 

3) Reservation in Reservation system should be started,

4) To complete the sub-committee formation of SC community as fast as possible,

5) To regularize contractual SC-employees,

6) Minimum wage for house-maids,

7) Land arrangement for landless SC people,

8) Stipend should be increased for SC in higher education,

9) To remove fake SC from Govt list,

10) A commission should be formed for SC community development,

11) Wages should be increase at Rs. 350,

12) One MP seat for SC,

13) Law for SC, ST (Prevention of Atrocities) should be strengthen more,

14) Rest house for SCs in each District and in Sadar,

15) Equal social respect for SC in Govt offices.
