Agartala, September 19 (TIWN): Landslides occurred again in the Longtarai tunnel. Railway communication disrupts due to the landslides. Trains were stopped at different points.
According to the railway sources, due to the heavy rainfall yesterday night landslide occurred in the Longtarai tunnel. The Manu Railway track got loaded with water. As a result railway communication disrupted. Trains were stopped at some places, some of the trains were running delayed. The situation will soon be taken under control- says the railway sources.
It is to be mentioned here that on September 4th earlier a Landslides in Longtarai Valley disrupts rail communication in Tripura. Earlier on August 15th this year Three members of a family were killed in a landslide in the Sabroom area of Tripura.
The landslide has been attributed to the incessant rainfall that Tripura has been witnessing for the past few days. "Yesterday, it started raining very heavily and suddenly there was a land slide. Three of the family members died as they did not get enough time to run out",
