Congress seeks government to adopt food-bill

Agartala, Aug 21 (TIWN) Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) of Tripura demanded the state government to implement the National Food Security ordinance in Tripura. Few states in India have started doing the same.
The ruling party in the state is opposing the ordinance in the state. PCC President Diba Chandra Hrankhal stated on Wednesday that their party will ‘fight’ to implement the ordinance, soon, in the state and at the same time he opined that this will be very useful for common people.
UPA government proposed the ordinance so that people get food and nutritional security said Mr. Hrankhal. Opposition Leader of Congress, in the state, Sudip Roy Barman said that, government need to adopt the ordinance for common interest of mass.
