AGARTALA, Aug 30 (TIWN): Lord Ganesh's flex was attacked in midnight at Agartala Durga Chowmuhani on Wednesday, it has been alleged by the local businessmen who were preparing for upcoming Ganesh puja at there.

The BJP backed businessmen also alleged, flags of BJP were also damaged at Durga Chowmuhami with "ill" motive. The flex was hanged in the bazar area keeping the Ganesh Puja ahead. 

Ganesh Chaturthi, also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi or Vinayaka Chavithi is the Hindu yearly festival that reveres god Ganesha, which is going to be celebrated on September 13. 

Ahead of the puja, the flex was displayed but miscreants have attacked in the flag which has fueled heavy resentment among the local businessmen.
