UDAIPUR / AGARTALA, Aug 30 (TIWN): With a major initiative of Gomati District Police and District Magistrate bans have been imposed on selling tobaccos across all shops located within 100 meter area of any school of Udaipur.
This will be imposed on each subdivisions under the Gomati District.
The journey started from Ramesh School area, where across the school various shops are located and school students are often found while buying Tiranga like tobacco brands and also cigarette.
Guardians parents are happy with the drive of the administration.
SP A R Reddy led anti-tobacco drive started from Ramesh School area on Wednesday along with SDPO Himandri Prasad Das, SDM Asish Datta.
Many tobacco packets were cleared from the shops even by school students themselves.
It can be noted here, across Ramesh school area illegal liquors are also being sold and in the evening just after the complex adjourned by Path-Bhawan a local shop-keeper openly sells liquors taking the opportunity of dark area.
