AGARTALA, September 18 (TIWN): Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI), Tribal Youth Federation (TYF), Students Federation of India (SFI) and Tribal Students Union (TSU) are going to organize protest rally in all over the state regarding the privatization of education system in India the rally will start on September 22 and it will continue till December, said Secretary of DYFI Amal Chakraborty here today.
Speaking to reporters in a press conference at Melarmath, Secretary of DYFI Amal Chakraborty said that the newly formed central government is not taking proper steps regarding the education system of India. Instead of taking any proper steps the central government is busy in making the education system into privatization. If the entire education system goes in the hands of privatization it will destroy the next generation and it will also destroy the base of education system, he added.
BJP and Congress are two sides of the same coin. Both of them are just black marketers. The two parties are always with affluent businessmen and bureaucrats, but never work for the common people, he alleged. The unemployment issue has become a big problem in the entire country. Everywhere nowadays there is corruption. A total of 50 lakh posts are still vacant in India, he added.
He further said that education has proven to be the most effective means of eliminating endemic poverty, and on an individual level has been shown to be the most sustainable escape from poverty’s clutches.
It may play an important role in bringing tangible benefits by developing the skills of the people. It may expand livelihood opportunities and increase earning potential and thus help in tackling the problem of poverty at large. The major role that education has been able to play is with regard to knowledge inculcation and skill-improvement of the persons, he mentioned.
The state government is working for the people of the state regarding education work for. The state government is not getting proper help from the central government regarding education and work, he added.
President of Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) Pankaj Ghosh, Secretary of Students Federation of India (SFI) Nabarun Deb and other members of the organization were present.
