AGARTALA, Aug 25 (TIWN): CPI-M has called for peaceful bi-election after the State Committee meeting led by Prakash Karat, Sitaram Yechury was held.
“The BJP Govt is now planning for bi-election, which never held earlier in whole India in this way. They bound the CPI-M members to resign from their posts and still now the attempt is going on”, Gautam Das said.
“We hope, there will be a democratic election atmosphere in this bi-election. Thus is our demand”.
“CPI-M also will continue protest to form rule-of-law. Our protest is also to continue demand for common people’s right”, Gautam Das said.
Criticizing the INCREASING crime against women, Das said, “The crimes are on spike against housewives and rapes of minor girls turned a dangerous aspect. The criminals are roaming in the free air. Today also one teacher was attacked at Chandrapur and he was injured over head”.
