KADAMTALA, Aug 22 (TIWN): Kadamtala battalion of Assam Rifles under 22 Sector of Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) rescued many injured villagers after collapse of an under construction bridge between Village Bara Bekra and Village Gaukhal.

Many construction workers sustained injuries out of which two are critical.

Assam Rifles had rushed a rescue party to the spot alongwith Nursing Assistant and provided  first aid to the injured.

They were then evacuated to Primary Health Care Barabekra by Assam Rifles.
