AGARTALA, Aug 10 (TIWN): Like other years, Tripura has observed National Deworming Day this year too on Friday, according to Health Minister Sudip Barman's announcement.
It is the 7th round of National Deworming Day. Children from 1 year to 19 years had been administered with albendazole tablets till the 5th round. From the 6th round from 19 years students the albendazole tablets are being administered.
The children who could not take that medicine toady they will be given on August 17 and August 18.
The Health Minister said, students future are most important to the Govt and that's why the National Deworming Day is significant.
National Deworming Day is a groundbreaking initiative focused on reducing the threat of parasitic worm infections, a widespread health issue affecting over 241 million children in India alone.
