AGARTALA, Aug 8 (TIWN): Chief Minister Biplab Deb on Wednesday has met HRD Minister Prakash Yavedkar at Delhi, talked about new B.Ed Colleges plans which the Govt has decided to build in coming days to mitigate the teachers crisis.
After meeting the Minister CM tweeted, "Had a fruitful meeting with Prakash Yavedkar at his residence in New Delhi today. He assured full support from HRD Ministry for initiation of 4 new B.Ed colleges in Tripura & setting up of 2 Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) one each in Dharmanagar & Udaipur".
On June 19 Tripura Finance Minister Jishnu Debbarma had announced on the first day of state Assembly that total four numbers of B.Ed Colleges will be established in Tripura in coming days.
Out of those four B.Ed Colleges, two will be dedicated for only girl students and rest will be combined. Observing the massive teachers crisis in Tripura, state govt has taken the decision to open more numbers of B.Ed colleges so that in next two years more teachers can be recruited without compromising with quality-education.
However, talks were held regarding setting up of two Kendriya Vidyalayas.
