AGARTALA, July 8 (TIWN): Vegetable sellers are undergoing heavy losses in Agartala due to lack of buyers.
The reason behind lack of buyers are however the extreme price of vegetables but in Gol Bazar, where price stays little down all the time, numbers of buyers are also less.
The vegetables collections are also less as the shop-keepers are unable to sell the stored vegetable items.
However, being asked about the vegetable prices in the market they said, the prices are not so high. As tomatoes are available at Rs. 30 per kilo, cabbages are only Rs. 20.
Talking to one farmer at Gol Bazar who came to deliver items, he said due to flood farmers are undergoing massive crisis and almost all crops were damaged.
