AGARTALA, Aug 6 (TIWN): Supreme Court & High Court terminated 10323 teachers Illegal recruitment in Tripura, who were promised by the BJP before coming in power that it will change a 'portion' of law to save 10323 teachers' jobs, have first time placed deputation to the Education Director after the new Govt has been formed. Placing a deputation to the Director of Secondary Education, the terminated 10323 teachers said, "Since 9 years the 10323 teachers are serving Tripura Education Dept. We also got GT/PGT scale but in 2014 a group of people filed cases against our recruitment and we lost jobs, but since then the State Govt is working to save jobs of 10323 teaches' futures. First it was said that on December 31st, 2017 we will be finally terminated but later 6 months were given by Supreme Court on ad-hoc basis and now the present govt has again appealed the Supreme Court to extend our jobs for two years. But nobody is thinking even if Supreme Court gives us permission to work till 2020, what will happen to us after two years ? Thus, we demands our jobs should be secured till the Govt provides us any alternative livelihood".
The terminated teachers also said, if their demands are not fulfilled then, they will be bound to 'come on the road'.
The 10323 teachers raised 5 demands :
1) To save 10323 teachers jobs till alternative jobs are arranged by the Govt for them,
2) According to law, all are same under law but how at the same year's appointment, many teachers (Science Graduates) are still in job ? (It was a separate case filed in HC, where teachers jobs were not terminated)
3) A copy with details why Supreme Court cancelled their jobs has also been demanded,
4) Like other teachers the 10323 teachers are not getting facilities on ad-hoc basis which was said in notification by the govt,
5) If the mistakes were done by officials, why the teachers will suffer ?
10323-Teachers case's next hearing is on September 17, 2018.
