AGARTALA, July 5 (TIWN): Tripura BJP Observer, National Secretary Sunil Deodhar on Sunday while invited by BJP leaders in felicitation programme in his honour at BJP headquarter, said, “Even though I have been invited by Biplab Deb for being honoured with National Secretary post, but we don’t have that culture to be honoured.BJP believes in honouring Country and its people”.

Biplab Deb's reaction in welcoming Sunil Deodhar was very basic and mute, no smiles, even Chief Minister avoided welcoming Deodhar in Agartala Airport. 

“A position or a promotion is for utilize, but not to enjoy it. Post is to “upoyog” (utilize), not for “upobhog (enjoyment)”, Deodhar said.

Sunil Deodhar has praised each and every political activists in the party office by mentioning their dedications for the party. He also mentioned that it was Sudhindra Dasgupta, Ex-President of BJP, who was replaced by Biplab Deb later, was the most honest person he ever seen.

Deodhar also added, “Biplab Deb who used to call me Gurudeb earlier, first informed that I was appointed as the Observer of Tripura”.

In a public consumption display of 'BJP Party Unity' before 2019 LS election, so to show  Biplab Deb in positive light, Deodhar said, “Even though Biplab Deb wanted to be the President of Tripura since the beginning, but I told him first to be close with people and Biplab Deb has proven himself in right way. He never hesitated in staying anywhere, eating any normal food. Then he was made the President”.
