AGARTALA, Aug 4 (TIWN): Minister Sudip Barman who fought against CPI-M Govt’s illegal recruitment of 10323 teachers at High Court and Supreme Court during his leadership in the opposition parties Congress & Trinamool, has declared on Saturday that the Present Govt (BJP) is working hard to save 10323 teachers' lives along with other irregular teachers of the state. Sudip Barman while addressing in SSA's Satyagraha programme before Rabindra Bhawan said, "Teachers' regularization and how to save their lives are our everyday discussion issue. In each cabinet meeting, discussions are going on about how to regularize employees like you and 10323 teachers. It's true in teaching profession, quality can not exist unless the Teachers are in peace and their careers are safe". "We are not at all in revengeful politics like the previous Govt (CPI-M). In 1993, huge numbers of the irregular employees in various Dept were terminated regardless AMC, Forest Dept, Forest Dept after the Govt was changed".
"Education Dept is such a crucial dept which need to ensure teachers satisfaction. Unless and untill teachers are satisfied, they can not give their full efforts in work. Quality Education can also never come if uncertainity remains", Barman added.
Barman was addressing SSA teachers where they had gathered with the demand of regularization. The programme has been conducted in remembrance of the 7 days long Hunger Strike led by the SSA teachers in 2017. They observed the Hunger Strike since August 1st to August 7, 2017.
