AGARTALA, Aug 3 (TIWN): Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ 21 Sector Assam Rifles conducted a workshop on health and hygiene with focus on prevention of water borne diseases at Thelakum High School on Friday.

With the onset of monsoons,the area has seen an increase in water borne diseases.

A total of 135 students attended the informative lecture, apart from ladies, children ,youth and village elders.

The locals expressed their gratitude and appreciated the  commitment of Assam Rifles for increasing awareness in the far flung and remote areas.
