AGARTALA, Aug 2 ( TIWN): CPI-M to hold protest rallies across Tripura under ‘Jail Bhoro’ movement on August 9, with 9 points of demands. Among the 9 points the farmers rights will be highlighted.
Their demands will be loan waiver for the farmers, to give ‘patta’ under the land rights, to save the democratic and fundamental rights of the people.
On Tuesday, gherao was staged in front of the Police Headquarter at Agartala voicing against the lawless situation in the state.
CPI-M alleged that Police Chief A K Shukla is sitting silent in headquarter even after continuous attacks upon the common people and opposition activists and leaders.
But he has to give response to the opposition’s allegations too with impartiality. Under the BJP Govt, Police themselves are also being attacked but still the Director General of Police is silent. Continuous attacks upon Party offices are going on but police is still biased.
