AGARTALA, Aug 2 (TIWN): Lately but after two days of silence over Assam's drafting of NRC which marked 40 lakh Assam residents as foreigners, Tripura CPI-M MLA, Ex-Minister Badal Choudhury said, “Forget everything. Who belong to which religion and which political group. The people who accepted country’s partition at the coast of Independence they themselves have become foreigners in their own land ?”

“After 72 years of independence people are identifying as Indian and Foreigner, which included Ex- President of India late Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed’s family members, who were MLAs. However, now Supreme Court has interrupted on the ongoing inhuman activity of the Govt and the justice is none other than Assam originated Ranjan Gogoi”, Badal Choudhury added.

“SC Justice Ranjan Gogoi himself has interrupted NRC related action and Gogoi is originated from Assam. He knows about Assam better than us”, he added,

 “Now let’s see, what the BJP does or even they will surpass Supreme Court’s order……”, the CPI-M Ex-Minister said.

“Forget everything. Just think about those 40 lakhs people and how they are feeling now in Assam”, Choudhury told media.
