AGARTALA, September 14 (TIWN): Nation’s apex body for coordinating, guiding and managing research and education in agriculture Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) has given its nod for founding of a seapartae new agriculture university in Tripura, informed Tripura Agricultural Graduates Association’s General Secretary Subrata Shib. While speaking on the occasion of 43rd Annual Session of the Tripura Agricultural Graduates Association the General Secretary said that the atmosphere of the agriculture college has been bettered during past few years.
“We have a set of 22 demands for the broader development of the agriculture and allied activities in state where most of our demands have been met”, he said. Furthermore, as Mr. Shib informed that a revised sanction of Rs. 7 crores has been allotted under the Agriculture Revolving Fund facility which also includes seeds procurement. To add to that, the state General Administration and Finance department have agreed to come up with 4 agriculture and 4 horticulture districts. President Phani Bhusan Jamatia, Vice President Sandip Som and District Secretaries were present today in the Annual Session held here at Nazarul Kalakshetra auditorium.
