Ambassa, September 13 (TIWN):The seizing of illegal arms has suddenly become a success saga of the Police. And adding more to it, Ambassa police seized three country-made rifles from a tribal dominated habitat last night.
According to the police, SP Dhalai Timir Das alongwith SDPO Ambassa Chiranjib Chakraborty raided to Machurai Para of Chamalcherra under the P.S. area. In their raid, they seized three country-made rifles hidden under a tree. However, the cops were unable to net anybody in this connection. On the eve of the ensuing festive season, the seizure of the arms created much panic among the commonfolk. However, a high positioned source of police claimed that such kind of rifles are nothing new in tribal-dominated areas as they often use it to hunt boar, birds or even deer.
