AGARTALA, July 20 (TIWN): TDP MP Jayadev Galla has been strived for special category status for Andra Pradesh on Friday in the Lok Sabha just as Northeast and other states under special category.

Placing his statement in support of no-confidence motion, Galla said whereas Modi Govt has promised ‘no discrimination’ but Andra Pradesh is till day deprived of special category status.

Whereas for Northeast the Modi Govt has recommended as Rs.3000 of package till 2017, but for Andra Pradesh nothing has been reserved.

Galla said Rs. 1.3 lakh loan burden was being put on the Andhra Pradesh. The state was a loser as during reorganisation funds were divided based on population, and resources were based on location, he said.
