AGARTALA, July 20 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb on Friday while addressing in Kharchi puja at Khayerpur blamed the 35 years long ruler Communists for not believing in Dharma (religion) and due to so many non-believers in the state, issues like unemployment, crime against women, addiction have gripped the society led the people in wrong directionâ€. “Without Dharma (religion) you can not function your Raj-Tantra ! Now it’s democracy but if leaders do not believe in 'dharma' then how will they observe the Raj-Dharma ?â€, CM asked. “For long 35 years Tripura didn’t have Dharma. Dharma was explained in wrong direction. Crime against women, deteriorating law and order, drug addiction, unemployment….from where all these things came ? Due to not believing in Dharma it happenedâ€, CM added. However, CM further mentioned, “Everybody has their own Dharmas and as MLAs helping people and social services are their actual Dharma. If without doing that only one offers puja to God then nothing will happenâ€.
He further said, Tripura was better ruled in Kings era and in that direction BJP-IPFT Govt is working now.
“I pray to Chaturdash Devta to return us those days. If in King’s time leaders were sufficient to rule the state independently, why not now ? Why do we have to be depend upon Central Govt ?”, CM said.
CM further sought time from people to establish Tripura saying in three / four days 35 years lagging can’t be overcome.
