AGARTALA, July 19 (TIWN): Tripura Congress leader Gopal Roy on Thursday has hit the BJP Govt for not giving permission to NSUI to hold a protest near Gandhi statue at Circuit House, Agartala.
NSUI organized a protest in front of Congress Bhawan after police didn’t give permission to hold rally at Circuit house.
Their demands were justice for murder victim Anuara Choudhury who was killed in April 11, 2017 and suicide victim Lahari Debbarma who committed suicide allegedly after being insulted by a Big Bazar and her school authority on May 5, 2018.
NSUI also staged protest voicing against the increased fees in Tripura Medical College.
Gopal Roy said, “The BJP Govt not only betrayed the public hopes but also crossed all shames by increasing Tripura Medical College fees”.
