AGARTALA, September 13 (TIWN): The city is all set and the stage is also in position to celebrate the Vishwakarma Puja on September 17.

Different attractive idols of God Vishwakarma will be installed at almost all the engineering workshops and shops dealing with metallic works. Several musical and cultural functions would also be organised at different places to mark the occasion in the city.

Since God Vishwakarma is a God of engineering, construction and art, there is a belief that the devotees get blessings of good engineering skill by performing worship of God Vishwakarma.  

The artists and masons will also worship their tools, machines and equipment. Similarly, Vishwakarma puja will be celebrated in the workshops of ITI Agartala.  Religious functions will be organised to mark the occasion. Railways and Power Corporation will also celebrate Vishwakarma Puja at their respective workshops on September 17.
