AGARTALA, September 13 (TIWN): The two day long state level conference of United Bank of India Employees Union (UBIEU) Tripura State Committee was inaugurated by Minister for Information and Cultural Affairs Bhanu Lal Saha at Agartala Press Club here today. The conference will continue till September 14.
Speaking in the conference Minister for Information and Cultural Affairs Bhanu Lal Saha said that graft in India is damaging the economy. The country needs to get serious about dealing with it. Loans to industries with graft problems have infected the largely state-run banking system at least a tenth of its loans are sour, he added. Faced with this mess, private firms also have cut investments, he added.
The newly formed NDA government is pulling the financial condition of the country in different directions which is not at all in favor of the people of the country, said Bhanu Lal Saha. After every three years United Bank of India Employees Union Tripura State Committee organize their conference. Three new branches of United Bank of India Employees Union Tripura State Committee were formed today.
Working president of United Bank of India Employees Union (UBIEU) Anupranta Choudhury and Joint Secretary of United Bank of India Employees Union (UBIEU) Uday Narayan Karmakar and other members of the union were present in the conference.
