UDAIPUR (Gomati Dist, Tripura), July 17 (TIWN): Minister Sudip Barman launched ‘Plastic Banning’ is now active allover Tripura, especially in urban bodies with a late evening drive of DM T K Debnath took place across Udaipur town.
Many shop keepers were fined after open plastic uses were spotted in their shops even after the banning.
SDM Subashish Banerjee was also present with DM T K Debnath in this drive.
Report says that plastic using have been curbed heavily in Udaipur and purchasers and sellers joint efforts are visible in plastic-banning at there.
Gomati District DM T K Debnath said, “Plastic was banned earlier also in state, but it couldn’t go for long due to some unknown reason, but Gomati District administration will not stop till plastic uses are totally removed”.
The drive was launched by Environment Minister Sudip Roy Barman.
