MELAGHAR, July 16 (TIWN): State Tourism Minister Pranajit Singha Roy has visited Tripura’s one of the most popular and beautiful tourist spot Neer Mahal on Monday.
MLA Subash Das, SDM and other Govt officials were also present with the Minister during the journey.
Neer Mahal is a former royal palace built by King Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya Bahadur of the erstwhile Kingdom of Tripura, India in the middle of the lake Rudrasagar in 1930 and was completed by 1938.
The Minister has alleged ‘heavy negligence’ of the previous state govt in Neer Mahar maintenance.
Also, the descriptions have been put in wrong manner in the palace as ‘Thakur Ghor’ has been marked as ‘Bathroom’, according to the Minister’s claim before media.
The sound & lighting system was also found in negligence.
After the visit, the Minister held a meeting with local administration and discussed about upcoming the plan to develop Neer Mahal.
