AGARTALA, July 14 (TIWN): Once again state CPI-M has alleged heavy food and work crisis ongoing in Tripura under Chief Minister Biplab Deb’s era.
Addressing in press meeting, MP Shankar Prasad Datta said, in ADC areas not even 10 days of MGNREGA work was done and the wages even they got at Rs. 118 only.
“From Banana to Tea selling all business are in loss at there as people are unable to arrange two times meals. Even paan business is at heavy loss”, he said.
The MP claimed that the price of rice to fruit, vegetable all are down.
CPI-M tribal leader Radha Charan Debbarma said, “Due to the introduction of Biometric system, many villagers are unable to take their commodities from rations shops. Even after multiple requests the Govt is silent”.
CPI-M leaders further asked the state govt to arrange more mandays of MGNREGA to relieve the poor people from the ‘massive crisis’ situation.
