AGARTALA, July 14 (TIWN): BJP led state govt had accepted about the deteriorated law and order situation in state in a statement at the High Court.
The acceptation came after High Court asked Tripura Govt why it didn’t permitted INPT to stage a demonstration on June 28.
In reply to the query of the Chief Justice Ajay Rastogi, Govt lawyer mentioned the unstable law and order condition didn’t allow the permission.
However, recently BJP leader Pratima Bhowmik has denied the violence in Tripura after CPI-M National General Secretary Sitaram Yechury charged the state govt for ‘poor law and order situation’ in the state.
The issue was raised after INPT filed a case against state govt after police didn’t permit them to stage protest in the Capital City Agartala on June 28.
INPT President Bijay Rankhol on that time said that there was absolutely no reason for not giving permission as the protest was about various demands from the state govt and the attitude of not allowing opposition to hold protest itself proves BJP-govt doesn’t believe in democracy.
