Agartala, Sept 12 (TIWN): The first round counting of the Tripura Bar Council Election votes ends with the senior lawyer Pijish Kanti Biswas of congress Legal & Human Rights department sweeping the election with a majority vote of 64.
The counting begun from 10.00 AM morning on Friday. Senior lawyer Pijush kanti Biswas swept the first round bar election result, who has contested from Congress Legal & Human Rights department. Beside lawyer Ashish Bhattacharjee contested from the left wing All India Lawyers Association (AILU) gained 58 votes, Abdul Bashit Khan contested from Trinamool Congress wing gained 57 votes, Haribol Debnath contested from AILU gained 55 votes and senior lawyer AK Bhowmik gained 49 votes. All of them have become the first choice of the voters, with their victory at the first round counting.
However total votes casted are 831 whereas at least 57 votes have been rejected with the valid votes rested at 774.
