AGARTALA, July 10 (TIWN): Michael Madhusudan Dutta College students at Sabroom has conducted a protest rally today condemning the brutal murder of Sukanta Chakraborty.
The protest rally was organized by ABVP at there.
Sukanta Chakraborty was an artist who was brutally murdered at Kalachara, Sabroom, on June 29 by violent mob followed by rumour-episodes of child lifters in Tripura.
Sukanta Chakraborty was attending the awareness programme which was conducted by SDM office against rumours and lynching.
Local MLA Shankar Roy on behalf of state govt has announced Rs. 5 lakh for Sukanta Chakraborty’s family members.
There will be also a monument to be dedicated for Sukanta Chakraborty at Kalachara of Sabroom.
Three persons died in mob-lynching in Tripura. However, whether all the families will get the compensation of not, it has not been announced.
