BJP leader declares CPI-M activist Rakesh Dhar was not murdered, but committed suicide

AGARTALA, June 9 (TIWN): BJP leader Pramita Bhowmik has declared that Rakesh Dhar who was claimed for being murdered on April 12, was actually a suicide case.
Addressing a press conference the BJP leader confirmed that the case was basically a suicide case, who took bribes from people promising for giving them jobs.
“The CPI-M leader at South Tripura took bribes from people with job-promises but as the Govt has been changed so seeing no other option to save ownself from mass anger he has committed suicide”, Pratima Bhowmik said.
Ex CM Manik Sarkar, Ex-Minister Badal Choudhury had visited Rakesh Dhar’s house following the incident.
