AGARTALA, July 7 (TIWN): 21 Assam Rifles under the aegis of 21 Sector Assam Rifles in collaboration with Local Gas Agency, Khowai facilitated distribution of free LPG gas connections as part of Ujjwala Yojna to families 'Below Poverty Line (BPL) at laithaibari village, khowai.

The aim of organising the event was to facilitate welfare programmes of Government to reach to the  needy population. 294 BPL families were provided Free Gas Connections during the event.

This sanguine effort of Assam Rifles towards Nation Building by reaching far flung areas of Tripura was  appreciated by  the locals.
