AGARTALA, July 6 (TIWN): Hindu devotees are all set to leave for Deoghar in Agartala-Deoghar express's first ever journey form Agartala Railway Station.
Thousands of locals, travellers gathered at the Railway Station on the historical occasion.
Before the flag off programme, devotees danced, prayed to their Lord Anukul Thakur.
The dais has been shared by Railway Minister for state Rajen Gohain, Chief Minister Biplab Deb, Transport Minister Pranajit Singha Roy and MP Shankar Prasad Datta.
The Express train will cover a distance of 1,473 km in 39 hours.
After today from 14th July the regular passenger service of the train will be started.
