AGARTALA, July 7 (TIWN): Some dishonest villagers of the adjacent areas of 7 mile on National Highway, (Teliamura to Ampi) under Ampi PWD juridiction, Gomati Tripura constantly breaking side shoulder brick solings and stealing bricks for last many months.
Sources said about 5 places of the Teliamura to Ampi road side shoulder brick soling already became blank and rain water is hitting the road carpeting. As consequence many parts of the road have already been broken. Without side shoulder bricks many portions of the road became unfit for proper safety for vehicles.
The places from where brick solings have been removed became uneven and risky for transportation system. When it is heavy raining the hilly rain water cutting side soil and taking soil away to nearby valley and generating holes on the road side.
It seems very shortly the road carpeting of those places from where side shoulder bricks have been taken away by local thieves will be washed away by hilly rain water. If the concerned authority does not take any suitable step to stop bricks stealing from this Teliamura to Ampi road then it would be very troublesome for the future. 01.07.18
