AGARTALA, July 1 (TIWN): Health Minister Sudip Barman has inaugurated Doctors Day at Pragna Bhawan on Sunday.
Senior and experienced doctors of the state was awarded on that occasion for their huge contribution in the field of Health service.
Minister Sudip Barman met all Doctors who were present at there.
The Health Minister also praised state’s doctors for their efforts to upgrade the health service.
The National Doctors' Day is a day celebrated to recognize the contributions of physicians to individual lives and communities. The date may vary from nation to nation depending on the event of commemoration used to mark the day.
It’s celebrated on July 1st, which is also the birth and death anniversary of Bidhan Chandra Roy MRCP, FRCS; was the second Chief Minister of West Bengal in India. He remained in his post for 14 years as an Indian National Congress candidate, from 1948 until his death in 1962. He was an alumnus of the Calcutta Medical college.
