AGRTALA, June 28 (TIWN): In Manik Sarkar’s time when IPFT led violence forced the former govt to shutdown internet service in Tripura, on that time BJP as opposition mocked a lot, inspired media to write against Manik Sarkar’s internet suspension step. However, when CPI-M took at least decade to suspend internet, Tripura BJP Govt made it possible within 3 months, proving it was not a wrong decision my Manik Govt of that time by suspending internet. From banking service to office works all are halted as Govt has suspended internet. Yesterday at least 3 death were reported from various parts of the state in mob violence. Just after one Jahir Khan was killed at Sedhai Mohanpur by masses brutally, one govt employee Sukanta Chakraborty was beaten to death by violent mob.

The incident took place in the afternoon when he was busy in awareness campaigning at Kalachara of Sabroom under SDM at there. The awareness campaigning was against “rumour mongering”.

In the mean time huge numbers of people gheraoed the whole team and in that incident Sukanta Chakraborty died.

This suspension of internet facility came after at least 5 murders in last 6 days.

According to govt and police, social media led rumour mongering are spreading mass tension among the common men with baseless facts.

Thus govt has suspended internet service for next 48 hours. Total 3 persons have been killed in mob-violence across Tripura on yesterday.
