AGARTALA, June 28 (TIWN): 2 persons have been arrested in Class-4 student Purna Biswas murder case. The accused are none other than but very close relatives of the deceased. Main accused who was arrested is Arjun Das, S/O-Narayan Das (uncle of the deceased). Another arrested person is Biswajit Biswas, S/O-Subal Biswas. The issue has been developed from land related debates and after interrogation Arjun Das has accepted the truth. First with hard wood Purna was injured by them and then with sharp weapon they hit on various parts of Purna's body. However, earlier Chief Minister Biplab Deb suspected that there was political issues behind the murder. Chief Minister Biplab Deb met the victim family of Mohanpur and said, “Everything has a political reason but nobody can stop me to make Tripura as I have dreamtâ€.
Law Minister Ratan Lal Nath was also present with the Chief Minister in the presence of DGP A K Shukla on yesterday at deceased home.
They heard in details about the whole incident and how the murder developed it was described by the parents of Purna Biswas.
However, Purna’s mother alleged police’s negligence to find out her son.
Indeed from her allegation and description of the whole incident it’s clear that police did do nothing to find out Pruna since he was missing from the afternoon.
CM and Law Minster also had promised them "total justice". Biplab Deb has also announced to compensate Rs. 5 lakhs to the victim family on behalf of state govt.
Brutally killed Purna Biswas’s family members have been announced to get Rs. 5 lakhs as compensation from state govt.
