AGARTALA, June 25 (TIWN): Being asked by media, whether plastic will be banned totally in Tripura or not, Health Minister Sudip Barman said, “Plastic has already been banned in Tripura as it affects the environment a lotâ€.
“Banning of plastic will not only help to stop the water-logging problems but it will be eco-friendly as due to plastic uses, soil damages heavily”, Barman told media.
“We have already told the authorities to check the plastic bag uses and to make sure about the uses of alternatives instead of plastic bags”, Barman added.
“Plastic has lot of side-effects and it has turned our lives miserable”, he said.
