Agartala, September 10 (TIWN): Womens committee on Wednesday organized a press meet at their Central Office at Gandhighat. Members of Rajya Sabha cum Secretary of the organization Jharna Das Baidya and working President Krishna Rakshit were present in the press meet.

Addressing the press meet Mrs. Baidya briefed that the organization is going to submit deputation to the Block Development Officer of the fifty eight blocks, Nagar Panchayat’s Chairman and Chairperson of Agartala Municipal Corporation on 12^th September. Their deputation mainly centers round the issue of torture upon women including gang rape on 92% women. Clarifying the fact She further informs that women are facing inhumanities torture every day. This problem should be immediately shut off.

Other demands are continuation of MGMNREGA in all the blocks inspite of 15, controlling price of essentials commodities and other important projects. Krishna Rakshit also speaks about the benefit of women.
