AGARTALA, June 21 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb who once blacklisted HSCL company for poor construction of roads in Tripura along with ordering few suspensions on March 13, 2018 of state govt officials, has now announced for proper inquiry of the whole matter. In the Assembly Chief Minister Biplab Deb claimed that almost all the roads constructed under HSCL, have left in deplorable shape. CM raised question, why such a company was given with the tender for state’s roadmap ? In reply to CM’s query, Ex-CM Manik Sarkar said, this company has no link with the state govt but it was central govt who handed over the projects to state govt. Manik Sarkar also claimed, since 2014 all roads and projects were controlling by central govt and state govts left hardly with any scope for discussion. It can be recalled that on March 13, during Gandachera (Dhalai Dist) visit, Chief Minister Biplab Deb had suspended few Govt employees on spot. In the first ever visit in Ganacherra, Biplab Deb lost temper seeing the loopholes in road maintenance work, water problems and other issues. Total four employees were at least suspended including the BDO Prabir Debbarma.
On that time also, CPI-M had alleged that this company was appointed by Central Govt and the previous CPI-M Govt had nothing to do with that.
On Thursday after the issue was raised in Tripura Assembly, Ex-CM Manik Sarkar denied all links with HSCL company alleging all such companies were fixed by Central Govt.
