AGARTALA / PANISAGAR, June 20 (TIWN): Opposition leader Manik Sarkar, MP Jitendra Choudhury have visited CPI-M’s slain activist Lt Tapas Sutradhar’s home who was killed brutally on Monday night by miscreants, but so far nobody was arrested in this case. In the Assembly the issue was raised by CPI-M MLA Tapan Chakraborty today demanding proper investigation in the case, whereas Chief Minister Biplab Deb has assured ‘justice’. CPI-M has placed a report card on BJP/IPFT led violence in Tripura with 4 murders, 861 physical attacks in last 100 days. 345 offices were burnt or destroyed, whereas 161 party offices were looted. Till now 102 party offices built over govt lands were bulldozed. Over 1000 houses were allegedly attacked by ruling party activists, but in all cases just like Lenin’s statue bulldozing no culprit was spotted by police leading CPI-M activists to feel helpless. Many leaders have resigned alleging mental pressures upon them.
CPI-M activist Tapas Sutradhar who faced constant threatening, has been brutally murdered in Tripura on Monday night.
However, Chief Minister Biplab Deb has assured full support from the Government and proper investigation has been promised. CM also said, he has personally talked to SD North Manik Das regarding the case.
Tapas Sutradhar, was resident of Panisagar, an active member of CPI-M at there.Today Ex-CM Manik Sarkar has visited Panisagar to meet the family members of the victim.
CPI-M has alleged, when Tapas Sutradhar was returning home on yesterday night was brutally attacked by BJP/IPFT goons with sharp weapons. Deep injuried have been recovered on Tapas Sutradhar's neck.
Tapas Sutradhar was a member of Panisagar subdivisional member, and Ex-District level member.
Today family members of the deceased have been collapsed in tears seeing opposition leaders Jitendra Choudhury and Manik Sarkar. CPI-M has demanded proper investigation in this case along with other cases. Ex-Minister Bijita Nath was also present during the visit.
