‘Govt committed for 7th Pay Commission’ : Deputy CM

AGARTALA, June 19 (TIWN): Finance Minister Jishnu Debbarma on Tuesday on the first day of State Assembly said, State Govt is committed to allocate 7th pay commission to its employees.
“Around1000 crore has been kept n the budget so that the government could offer 7th pay commission to the govt employees and pensioners once PP Verma committee submitted its report.", he said.
However, Jishnu Debbarma also announced a new pension policy will be introduced who will join in jobs from next month i.e. July, 2018.
Jishnu Debbarma also raised the low revenue generation of the state and mentioned central govt can’t be blamed for it.
In upcoming years, there will be attempts to increase the revenue.
