AGARTALA, June 16 (TIWN): Around 20,000 people are still under relief camps shelters, Chief Minister Biplab Deb told media at police headquarter.
Being asked by media, regarding the flood situations, Biplab Deb said across the state relief camps are active but the water levels of river bodies are decreasing.
“At West District also, Howrah river water level is decreasing but most concerns have been triggered regarding the Manu river (Unakoti District)”, CM said.
CM mentioned, water level of both rivers at Unakoti District –Manu river, Deo river are high as there was hardly any maintenance in the river-barrages since 30 years.
TIWN ground report told Agartala office, that following yesterday night’s incessant raining Kailashahar subdivision (under Unakoti District) has taken a pathetic shape and water flows are flowing over head-level.
